Berlin, in the 80s he had production deals with Banner Records in Los Angeles and Yellow Brick Road in New Haven, Connecicut, but since '94 has lived from performing in Germany and Denmark.

Rick writes in many different styles, but his forte is pop and indie rock. Recently he recorded two demo tracks for his new CD with Allzeit Musik: "Eileen" an uptempo rocker and "Sentimental Times", a power ballad. Rick will be shopping these to labels in Europe while continuing to write and record for his new CD. He is also planning a Danish tour in support of his first CD, "Rick Derman & The Cry".
